Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in an ACEN- accredited Associate Degree Nursing program beginning Fall 2018.
Responsibilities include teaching nursing theory, clinical instruction and evaluation, lab instruction and evaluation; Student advisement; Curriculum development and evaluation; Service on department and college-wide committees;
This position will require a commitment primarily in the daytime, Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm or 9:30am to 6:00pm. To meet student needs, occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university; Current NYS RN registration and CPR certification;
Three (3) years of current acute-care clinical experience; Must be able to assist students with bedside nursing care and have broad experience with current and evolving clinical technology;
Advanced computer skills are also required.
The ideal candidate will also have formal coursework in nursing education; Teaching experience, especially at the community college level; Experience with designing and conducting clinical laboratory simulations and a working knowledge of operating simulation manikins is preferred.; Involvement in professional organizations; Experience with distance education; Experience with mastery learning and instructional modules; Demonstrated ability to work well in a team.

-The 2018/19 starting salary for an Instructor rank is $48,168 and an Assistant Professor is $54,933.
