Director, Station Program Support Grade D/Salary Range: $81,829 - $129,343
This position is responsible for overseeing the coordination of Enhanced Station Initiative (ESI) projects, Station Renewals, Component Projects and Infrastructure- related capital projects for the Department of Subways. Project Oversight, TA Labor adherence, acceptance and close-out of projects. Serves as the principle representative/liaison for the ESI program and represents Capital Program Subways on all related issues; this includes the coordination of work with other program areas. Directs the planning of projects, scheduling and monitoring of the Station Ventilator and Emergency Exit Rehabilitation Program. Provides managerial direction to subordinate staff in the preparation and approval of various budget planning and oversight documents. Provides oversight and managerial support of current and large, complex station improvement projects, manages work for In-House Construction forces, etc…
Serves on selection committee for the technical proposal packages from the prospective bidders. Attends meeting on behalf of Capital Program Subways. Responsible for the short/long term planning of ESI – related projects.
Education and Experience
A baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Finance or Public Administration and eight (8) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience, five (5) years of which must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or Satisfactory equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, financial analysis, budget and project management experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and administrative staff.
- Knowledge and experience of budgetary and estimating methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience preparing user-specific scopes of work and overseeing the implementation of projects that require comprehensive scheduling & coordination in field construction.
- Ability to develop, collect, formulate and maintain databases, spreadsheets, estimates, project schedules and reports.
