Leads global brand management for the company’s portfolio of Performance Brands (Nike, Columbia, Flexon, Airlock), including brand positioning and growth strategy, product design and development strategy, marketing and licensor relationships. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in the implementation of the brand’s product, communications and commercial strategies. Identifies new licensing or acquisition opportunities in performance driven eyewear to further enhance our current portfolio.
Develops, aligns and evolves brand positioning, product, communications and commercial strategies for the portfolio of brands.
Leads tiered team of two direct reports and 12 marketers in total. Monitors performance of employees. Provides prompt and objective coaching and counseling. Conducts performance reviews and recommend salary increases. Identifies and assigns resources to meet business objectives.
Manages and monitors the licensor agreements and relationships for the assigned licensed performance brands; communicates with licensors on a regular basis and establishes a productive working relationship.
Oversees the execution of the brands’ aligned communication strategies. Collaborates with licensors as well as internal and external creative partners in the development of all consumer and customer facing materials such as advertising, social media and PR, in-store/sales support materials, consumer activations, trade shows, sales promotions, etc., etc.
Works closely with product design & development as well as merchandising to create efficient assortments and new product releases that meet customer and end consumers demand, while staying true to the brand positioning and direction provided by the licensor (where required).
Presents brand plans and products to stakeholders such as markets and their larger customers and collaborates in the development of market and/or channel specific launch and growth plans.
Maintains and/or develops relationships with potential new licensors; collaborates with company leadership on identifying and if required pitching to prospective new licensors.
Monitors the execution and effectiveness of marketing and image programs against budget and expected result.
Develop budgets and monitor expenses to ensure that costs are within established levels
Participates in leadership team for Global Brands, Marketing & Design function.
Maintains open and collaborative communication with senior management and works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Assures that effective communications are maintained within the department.
Monitor turnover, productivity and overall performance to ensure adequate staffing and performance levels
Manage the interview and hiring process for open positions to ensure the most qualified candidates are selected
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year accredited college or university or equivalent training, education and experience
15 years of experience in Licensing, Brand Management, and/or Marketing
15 years of demonstrated experience in leading and managing
Experience in eyewear industry or fashion accessory field. Strong preference for candidates with experience in sports wear or related accessories.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working directly for an international apparel brand.
Proven presentation and negotiating skills

Demonstrated creativity and knowledge of industry resources and opportunities
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to make management decisions with wide ranging impact
Proven ability to manage employees on a global level
Excellent project management skills and experience managing large projects required.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to travel domestic and international
Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
