Loews Corporation Risk Analyst in New York, New York

As Risk Analyst, you will work directly with the Head of Risk Management to assist in managing the corporate insurance program and support the development of the enterprise risk management program across businesses in the insurance, energy, hospitality and packaging industries. You'll focus on risk assessment and data analysis, while supporting the development of best practices and contributing to the constant innovation and improvement of the organization's risk landscape. Corporate Insurance Program • Support all aspects of the corporate insurance placements; including risk analysis, exposure consolidation and cost analysis • Perform insurable risk assessments for the constant improvement of the insurance program • Engage with the brokers/carriers to support claim reporting processes • Aggregate and analyze risk/insurance data to develop accurate reporting for the enterprise • Provide risk/insurance due diligence and integration support for mergers, acquisition and divestiture • Drive the automation of existing manual processes Enterprise Risk Management • Support the risk assessment process, including risk identification, analysis, evaluation, treatment, monitoring, and reporting for the holding company • Assist with the development of a common methodology to evaluate enterprise-wide risk To be considered, candidates should have practical experience with a track record that demonstrates:
• An understanding of risk management fundamentals • Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to form and articulate opinions based on research • A high degree of personal initiative • Ability to seamlessly multi-task, prioritize, and act with a sense of urgency • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge the status quo • Ability to communicate in an open, candid, clear and consistent manner • Ability to listen effectively and probe for new ideas and solutions • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power Point and willingness to learn new systems
