Kforce Quality Assurance Specialist in New York, New York

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist in New York, New York (NY). Responsibilities:

  • The Quality Assurance Specialist evaluates software developed for to ensure that each phase of the software development life cycle delivers quality outputs, so that the final product meets user requirements for function, performance and reliability, and so that the final product conforms to agency guidelines and standards

  • Develop and maintain test plans and test cases to insure software quality in accordance with agency quality standards for each phase of the Agile Software Development Cycle

  • Define and ensure testing environment will support testing requirements

  • Execute and direct all quality assurance testing for the product

  • Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning meetings: participating in product design reviews to evaluate the quality of functional requirements

  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and two-week sprint timelines

  • Work with the business and technical staff to establish software delivery acceptance criteria and defect severity classifications

  • Build a library of reusable testing tools for functional testing, database testing, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, load testing, white-box testing, and integration testing for product specific quality assurance

  • Document requirement and software defects using Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Real-Time Field Force project to test the following components:

  • Geo-Location of Inspection devices and Inspection assignment

  • Line of Travel Inspection (Detours)

  • Non-Heat Complaint Inspection

  • On-field work assignment

  • Reinspection

  • Contact Information

  • External Property information integration

  • Dispatch Center

  • Administration Module

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Quality Assurance

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience writing functional and technical specifications, user and technical documentation

  • Hands-on experience using Automation tools, like UFT and Selenium

  • Experience in testing data from database synchronization tasks, such as between SQL Server and Oracle environments

  • Experience testing applications developed in Mobile Development Frameworks

  • Strong collaboration, relationship management, communication and written skills

  • Good judgment, logical thinker and detail oriented.

  • Demonstrate understanding of Agile or other Iterative development process

  • Excellent communication skills and values accountability
