Stern College for Women, a selective private college in midtown Manhattan, New York City, seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of Computer Science starting August 2018. A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is required by the start of employment, along with a successful teaching record. Stern College for Women is a part of Yeshiva University (YU), founded in 1886. YU has a strong tradition of combining Jewish scholarship with academic excellence and achievement in the liberal arts, sciences, medicine, law, business, social work, Jewish studies, education, psychology, and more.
The position is tenure-track, with an initial three-year appointment, and offers a competitive salary. The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, and will pursue a research program that engages advanced undergraduates in the discovery process.
