    ABOUT US

    Stern College for Women, conveniently located in midtown Manhattan, seeks an adjunct instructor to teach a course in Computer Science for the upcoming Spring 2018 semester.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    The “Database Systems” course covers relational databases, relational algebra, normal forms, file and index organization, and queries, and if time permits can also cover non-relational database technologies. The course is taught two days per week - but the specific times have not yet been finalized, and could be adjusted to allow the possibility of late afternoon classes.

    This position is ideal for a NYC-area Computer Science professional who is also seeking the rewarding experience of educating the next generation of Computer Scientists.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    A Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science is expected, mastery of the course topics, and either experience teaching at the undergraduate level, or a solid track record of industrial technology leadership and mentorship.
