Xylem seeks to hire a Cycle Counter. As a member of the Inventory Team, they will perform cycle counts within the Auburn, Mulcorr, Seneca Falls and Focus Factory Warehouses and obtain Finance approval for dollar adjustments according to policy. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that the goals and objectives of the position are met. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assure Inventory record accuracy, in on-site and off-site warehouses and in the Focus Factories

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis of Inventory errors and implement or assist in the implementation of corrective action(s) that will maintain record accuracy

  • Work on special projects as assigned

  • Perform the backup role of Inventory Analyst and Label Technician in the event of any absences

  • Kanban ordering of specific materials

  • Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) processing

  • Material pulls for QA quarantine and R&D testing

  • Claiming of shop orders

  • Manage the First In First Out (FIFO) process

  • Logging root causes of transitional errors into Team Room site

  • Be a knowledgeable resource during Physical Inventories to assist in directing activities and answering questions

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited two-year College or Technical School, 1-3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1-3 years in Materials Management

  • Skills Required:

  • Computer

  • Analytical

  • Communication

  • Math

  • Basic Knowledge of Lean Principles

  • Ability to work independently
