Description The Bilingual Interactive (Website) Department Intern should be a versatile self-starter, excited about producing news and will cover beat” and general assignments. Eager to learn and work with a team of experienced professionals, the intern should possess an eye for visual presentation, will produce stories, generate images and video, and provide hyperlinks as needed. The intern must be fluent in reading and writing of both English and Spanish and have the capability to translate into Spanish quickly and accurately.
Intern instruction will be from the Interactive Journalists and the Director of the Interactive Department. Occasionally the Intern Coordinator will also instruct and assist the intern.
Work performance will be evaluated by those directly working with the intern and the Intern Coordinator. Evaluation will be given at the end of the internship.
The intern is expected to work 2 to 3 days per week, Monday-Friday and the hours may vary.
Qualifications Students may be requested to work flexible hours due to business needs.
Preferred majors: Journalism-either Broadcast or Print, Communications
This is a Summer internship. To be eligible for this internship, you must be able to receive college credit. This internship is unpaid.
