National Grid SAP Security Analyst in Syracuse, New York
About the Position:
Performing day-to-day SAP system security design, implementation, configuration, and administration across all areas of SAP, as well as providing production support throughout project lifecycles using SAP modules/applications such as SAP R/3, SAP BI (Business Intelligence), SAP Portal, and SAP BW (Business Warehouse); Developing, implementing and maintaining SAP single roles, master/derived roles, composite roles using SAP ECC (ERP Central Component) Profile Generator; Performing role design, configuration, testing, and deployment methodology within SAP application architecture; upgrading projects related to SAP Security Functionality implementation; Ensuring compliance of SAP security configuration with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) General Computing Controls; Conducting SOX compliance analysis and providing resolutions; Performing Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) risk configuration and administration; Providing production support; and working with business units to deve lop, implement and improve security control; Responding rapidly and efficiently to requests requiring security control changes; Acting as a Subject Matter Expert of SAP Security Concepts and demonstrate full technical competence, including a demonstrated understanding of data privacy concepts; Translating business functional requirements into technical design for security roles; Documenting SAP Security design and administration processes, creating and updating operational guides, and monitoring existing operational guides for consistency and completeness; Proposing and implementing SAP security enhancements that will support growth and improve the security and reliability of the system; Following change management processes to ensure that all changes are tested and certified in a consistent manner; and Participating as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Shared Services Business Process Support (BPS) User Access & Controls team, for SAP Security project upgrades and new business functionality.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or foreign equivalent degree (Employer will accept 3-years of university education and 3-years work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree), plus five (5) years of SAP security design, implementation, and administration across all areas of SAP (R/3, ECC, BI, SRM, PI, SCM and Portal; two (2) years must include experience with GRC 10.0 tools and SOX IT General Computing Controls. Domestic travel req. approx. 2 days per month to support project work to Waltham, MA and Brooklyn, NY locations. Background checks may apply.
