Maintenance Mechanic (Part Time, Day)
Job Overview: The Friendly Home in Rochester, NY is seeking a part time DayMaintenance Mechanic II. The Maintenance Mechanic II performs general maintenance duties throughout The Friendly Home's pristine building and beautiful grounds. Maintenance work involves light carpentry, electrical, pipe-fitting, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, and snow removal. Additionally, the Maintenance Mechanic provides building security and provides exceptional customer service at all times.

The Maintenance Mechanic II:
Carries out maintenance duties (repairs, painting, and carpentry, and heavy cleaning) as assigned.
Performs preventive maintenance duties according to schedule on all The Friendly Home vehicles and equipment.
Keeps daily record of duties performed to be submitted to supervisor.
Clears snow from walks and parking areas. Is on call during winter months.
Maintains building security.
Reports to fire zone when alarm sounds.
Serves as switchboard backup when necessary.
Participates in in-service education and safety programs.
Performs other duties as required by the supervisor or by Administration from time-to-time.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Two to three years of HVAC, boilers, and general maintenance work required.
Licenses / Certifications: Must have a valid NYS driver’s license.
