CVS Health HIV Patient Advocate in New York
We are hiring for a HIV Patient Advocate in the New York territory. As a Patient Advocate, you are responsible for assisting the Autoimmune (AI)/Hepatitis C (HCV)/HIV National Sales Director, Field Sales Managers and Territory Sales Executives in providing marketing/sales support and networking within the HIV community (patients and providers). Specialty Pharmacy is our fastest growing business segment making this an excellent opportunity to get on board with CVS Health. You will have the opportunity to interact with support groups, treatment centers, nurses, and customers as a representative for the HIV CVS Business Unit. This opportunity is being created as part of a pilot initiative and therefore scope and responsibilities may be altered at discretion of the National Sales Director as the pilot initiative evolves and expands. You’ll have the opportunity to accomplish this through:
Conducting outbound phone calls to patients new to CVS Specialty HIV services in their respective territory to welcome them and educate them on what they can expect and help link them into community resources and CVS resources.
Supporting the Territory Sales Executive (TSE) role by doing field rides to accompany them on MDO sales calls, attend scheduled pharmaceutical meetings as needed and attend local/regional HIV associated conferences and support groups within individual territories.
Building strategic relationships, programs and goals between CVS and the HIV community and associations with the goal of creating awareness, education, goodwill, and thus, additional patients for CVS Specialty.
Assisting with coaching sales staff regarding disease state, and how best to address with physicians and patients. Help build physician/patient relationships for the TSE and pharmacy teams. Become an active resource for them.
Attending and helping to organize national, regional and local meetings as CVS HIV patient representative.
As the HIV Patient Advocate, your success will be measured by your ability to increase business through identification of target physicians, hospitals and consumers, development of relationships with customers and resources. This is a highly visible role where you can own your success and play a key role in driving CVS/specialty’s business forward into the future!
Candidates should be flexible for travel up to 50% as this is a road warrior position with extensive windshield time. This territory will include New York City, New Jersey and Philadelphia and may encompass other parts of the U.S. as needed for attendance at conferences, community based programs, physician/customer meetings.
*3+ years’ experience within the HIV arena such as working with physicians who treat HIV, or with HIV community organizations.
*Ability to travel to a multi-state territory up to 50% of the time.
*The candidate must be willing to travel overnight as needed.
*Must reside within the territory.

Must possess a valid and current driver’s license.
Must possess personal vehicle sufficiently reliable to meet the requirements of the job and is appropriately insured.
*5+ years’ experience within the HIV arena such as working with physicians who treat HIV, or with HIV community organizations
*Previous experience working in a complex disease state optimal.
*Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and database applications.
*Ability to interpret policies, procedures and instructions, and remain compliant within those policies
*Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g., HIPPA, SOX, EEO, FDA, DEA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA, etc.) and Company policy and procedures. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to maintain CVS Caremark’s excellent reputation within the healthcare community.
*Must be able to work independently, have a strong work ethic, outgoing personality and positive attitude. Willing to work evenings or weekends as needed.
*Bachelor's degree is required.
