Responsible for program planning and the development of policies and procedures with regard to the functioning of the Social Services Department; provides direct supervision of the social work staff and consultation to all other staff in the Home; participates in various administrative committees; conducts in-service training programs; maintains contacts with community agencies and keeps abreast of change and innovations in social welfare policy and techniques to constantly enrich and enhance the service provided by the Department.

• Moderates the activities of the Family Circle organization in order to help it maintain its focus as a support group for families and friends.

• Provides direct service on specific occasions to applicants/residents and their families/friends through individual and group modalities.

• Coordinates assessment, evaluation and documentation of resident's social work needs.

• Evaluates need for and/or conducts casework and/or group work sessions.

• Screens applications for placement with Medical and Nursing Directors.

• Coordinates entire admissions process.

Education Requirements

• Master of Social Work degree from an accredited university.

Experience Requirements

• At least five years experience in social work supervision and/or administration.

License Requirements

• Licensed Clinical or Licensed Master Social Worker
