The Disputes and Investigations practice focuses on assisting clients with financial, accounting, and economic issues associated with complex litigation. A sample of diverse consulting engagements include: forensic accounting and whistleblower investigations, consulting on complex forensic accounting and financial reporting matters, mergers and acquisitions due diligence and purchase price disputes, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations, Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance, and litigation support.

The DFLT segment Business Analyst position is responsible for performing business operations administrative work and providing analysis and reports to support the ongoing operational business needs of the segment and practices within the segment as well as various programs and initiatives.

Essential Functions

  1. Collect and analyze data from multiple systems.

  2. Generate reports to support the operations of the segment and practices; includes monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reporting.

  3. Track trends and developments across segment and practices.

  4. Execute financial models under the guidance of manager.

  5. Conduct studies, perform research and prepare reports and presentations.

  6. Communicate and follow-up with consulting community on actions needed related to special initiatives, policies, programs, etc.

  7. Field questions and manage special projects as assigned.


  1. Advanced in MS Excel (additional database knowledge a plus)

  2. Ability to pull datasets from multiple systems and merge into one database for reporting

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.

  • Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position in Navigant’s NYC office. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


  • No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in business or related field; or any combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

  2. Two plus years of relevant experience

  • Communicate frequently with co-workers as well as with managers to discern their needs, and be able to express themselves

  • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work

  • Usually remains stationary for the majority of the day

  • Frequently communicates with clients and coworkers and must be able to share information effectively

  • Generally works in an office environment
