The Office of Graduate Medical Education at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is dedicated to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals. GME oversees approximately 90 postgraduate training programs for interns, residents and fellows. We are seeking a Data Analyst who will interact with hospital administrators, physician-faculty, training program coordinators and resident- and fellows-in-training. This position provides a good overview/introduction to working in a premier academic medical center setting.
Manage Graduate Medical Education (GME) systems applications including the New Innovations resident management system, GME website maintenance, ERAS.
Monitor GME Office financial reports and invoicing, and prepare quarterly variance analyses.
Assist with the annual budget preparation.
Maintain GME databases, generate reports required for internal and external reporting needs for all compliance and reimbursement purposes.
Respond to the department’s information needs, and manage special software applications and data analysis projects.
Support GME Office credentialing activities.
Bachelor’s degree required with knowledge/facility with computer software packages including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Basic financial skills plus demonstrated analytical ability including problem solving, reasoning and mathematical skills. Audit experience advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work with and support professional, technical and administrative staff, ability to interact in a team-centered environment and collaborate with all levels of staff.
Masters degree and/or experience with information systems/data base management (Workday, New Innovations) in a health care setting preferred.
Candidates must be able to climb 1 set of stairs.
