Work collaboratively with other members of the peri-operative team
Facilitate patients through pre-admission testing and prepare them for surgical procedures (Main OR and Endoscopy)
Assure completion of required diagnostic and evaluative tests, providing related patient education programs and pre-operative clinical assessments\
Implement the nursing process for surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in an acute 24 hour setting
Provide level II post anesthesia recovery interventions for patients as assigned
Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment
New York State RN license
Minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience required
Surgical Oncology experienced preferred
National Certification preferred
Hours: Full-time 12 hours flexed 9:00pm – 9:30am with weekend rotation required
