Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM) provides comprehensive wealth management, retirement and investment solutions to affluent and high-net-worth clients. The team provides retirement and benefit plan services, philanthropic solutions and asset management to individuals and institutions.
This position will be part of GWIM’s CIO Group – In addition to offering retail clients secondary market solutions, GWIM provides new issue products for its retail clients through a partnership with Equity and Debt Capital Markets. In scope products include new issue equities, fixed income, market linked investments, UITs and Closed End Funds.
Position Description :
Associate will be responsible for leading all due diligence efforts associated with capital markets new issuances. The role is responsible for the business/operational evaluation for current and prospective offerings and will interface with Equity/Debt Capital Markets and senior management at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, as well as other business partners as needed. The role manages all aspects of conducting business and operational due diligence reviews on new and existing capital markets offerings, evaluating issuers, valuation procedures, trade flow and internal controls, disaster recovery procedures, infrastructure, service providers, and compliance environment, reviewing all offering documentation including due diligence questionnaires, offering documents, regulatory filings, audit reports, leading the associated committees and supporting other business partners as needed.
Understanding of risks related to issuers and offerings
Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task across competing priorities while managing to timelines
Relationship management skills and ability to interface confidently with associates of all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence at all management levels in a complex organization
5-10 years of relevant industry experience in Investment Banking and/or Equity/Debt Capital Markets. Series 7 and 79 required. Bachelors degree required.
