Job Summary: The Clinical Director – OCFS oversees all operations of an OCFS Cottage including direct supervision of the Residential Supervisor and indirect supervision of assigned Mental Health Specialists and Therapy Aides, management of the operations of the program including scheduling, purchasing, environmental quality, and survey readiness, and direct clinical services to children, adolescents and families consistent with program focus and regulations, to foster the attainment of the highest possible quality of life. The Clinical Directors – OCFS are responsible for and work to ensure a safe and trauma sensitive treatment environment. Essential Job Duties: 1. Coordinate all aspects of a youth’s services including Conducting Intake Interviews, Coordinating Admissions, Treatment Planning, working with client and family to prepare treatment plans, and ICMP’s. Educating and involving the treatment team in treatment planning, to ensure understanding and compliance. 2. Providing case management services including making referrals for additional services and maintaining communications with those service providers, providing individual and family counseling; maintaining communication with family members and resources. 3. Responsible for maintaining the overall clinical record, including CONX and ECR oversight to ensure compliant attendance and billing. Documenting and insuring that progress notes are entered into Connections (CONX) within 48 hours. Completing FASP’s, and adhering to time frames for submission. Completing Permanency Hearing Reports, Court Petitions, and court documents/summaries. 4. Responsible for the overall oversight of the cottage, directly supervising the Residential Supervisor, facilitating training, coaching and mentoring of all staff assigned to the program, and ensuring that all services are trauma sensitive. 5. Responsible to ensure that cottage environment is safe and is operating in accordance with all BVS agency policies and all OCFS regulations. 6. Effectively resolves problems related to the operation of and provision of services within the cottage and/or seeks appropriate assistance from the Director of OCFS Programs. 7. Attends all required internal trainings to maintain competence in position and attends external trainings as directed or per request, for ongoing professional growth and development. 8. Participates on division and/or agency committees, as assigned. 9. Complies with all federal and state regulations and agency policies pertaining to HIPAA, false claims, whistleblower policies and all others. 10. Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of OCFS Programs.
Education: Minimum Degree Required: Master`s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
Experience: Minimum Experience Required: 1 year experience working with children and families, preferred.
Required License/Registration/ Certification: LMSW/LMHC/LCSW preferred
