Jr. Electronic Technician

Job Description Summary: Support all aspects of Electronic Equipment Maintenance and Repair

Job Responsibility

  • Debug and repair PC board surface mount components by hand soldering.

  • Repair various equipment and control systems such as: diffusion furnaces, BTU furnaces, ovens and chambers (-65 to +500c), vacuum ovens, wire bonders, seam welders, solid state motor controllers, temperature controllers and other manufacturing equipment.

  • Troubleshooting and repairing both computer controlled equipment and programmable logic controllers.

  • Support PM requirements for machinery and equipment.

  • Familiar with Analog and digital circuits.

  • Industrial control wiring is a plus.

  • Certificate in electronics or associated degree in electronics.

  • Computer skills for basic communication and data entry.

  • Perform duties safely, effectively, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment which

  • Complies with procedures, rules and regulations.

Preferences

  • 1-2 yrs’ experience in a manufacturing environment in repair and maintenance of electronic test systems and equipment controls.

  • Certificate in electronics or similar.

  • Experience in schematic understanding, electronic PCB debugging, equipment repair and maintenance.

  • Computer skills for basic communication and data entry.

  • Will need to be able to communicate in a clear understandable manner both verbally and in writing, work with a positive attitude, have a hands-on ability and be a positive influence on the organization.

  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.

  • This position requires access to technology, material, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. In order to be eligible, you must be either a US citizen or permanent resident.
