          Description

          Position Summary

          Provides oversight, supervision, observation and makes recommendations to the ABSS psychologist regarding treatment in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

          Position Accountabilities


          • Supervises program ABSS Psychologists, conducts in-service training for clinicians and residential staff. Supervises and interprets test findings and provides adequate clinical contact with individuals in the program.

          • Develops, supervises and recommends behavioral intervention plans with the collaboration of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team

          • Reviews individual behavior plans in accordance with OPWDD regulations and ensures that updates are conducted as needed to meet regulatory and individual need

          • Supervises the coordination of behavioral programs/plans with day programs, school settings, medical providers and other outside entities and families

          • Participates in the activities of the Human Rights and Incident Review Committee

          • Other duties as required by program management.
            Requirements

          Position Qualifications

          Requirements: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with licensure as a Psychologist in NYS. Minimum 3 years’ experience working with the DD population, preferably in a supervisory capacity. Must have a working knowledge of OPWDD regulations; Applied Behavioral Analysis Certification (BCBA) preferred. Ability to travel within the five boroughs and for training. TEACCH certification required, but will consider applicants who agree to obtain certification within 30 days of position appointment.
          Hours of Work: Hours and days of work are subject to program needs. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and evenings.
